Biesterfeld and SK Chemicals Extend Their Strategic Partnership

Biesterfeld Plastic and SK Chemicals are extending their long-term strategic partnership. With effect from 1 August 2020, a new distribution agreement is in force between the partners, which now also includes the distribution of copolyesters from SK Chemicals within the cosmetic packaging market segment. This new agreement means that Biesterfeld now holds the distributions rights for all segments of SK Chemicals’ copolyester business in Europe, Brazil and North Africa. 

The copolyesters from SK Chemicals distributed by Biesterfeld are the SKYGREEN® PETG/PCTG, SKYPET® PET, ECOZEN® Bio-copolyester product lines, and the recently developed ECOTRIA® product line, which contains a PCR (Post-consumer recycled) component. These products are characterised by their excellent transparency, high chemical resistance, and 100% recyclability into the PET recycling stream. As a result of these and other properties, they are widely used in cosmetic packaging, household articles and toys.
