Radici: European Expansion for Adipic Aacid and HMDA
Polyamide manufacturer Radici (Bergamo / Italy; www.radicigroup.com ) will increase its adipic acid capacity in Zeitz / Germany by 10,000 t/y up to the end of 2007 and by a further 8,000 t/y in 2008, bringing total capacity to 100,000 t/y. In addition, it will produce an extra 10,000 t/y adipic acid next year at its Novara / Italy site and 5,000 t/y of precursor hexamethylene diamine (HMDA). Radici is also planning to begin manufacturing PA niche products such as 6.10, 6.12 and amorphous, transparent grades for the European market. /Plastics Information Europe/
